Richard brings a wealth of experience and passion to County Town Singers. He has been involved in community music-making from a young age, beginning with the community band in his hometown in Austria.
In Canada, Richard has conducted a diverse array of choirs, ranging from community and church choirs to those for people with disabilities and ethnic groups. His musical journey includes a B.A. in Music from Carleton University, a Master’s in Conducting from the University of Arkansas, and a Doctorate in Orchestral Conducting from Ball State University. Richard has also had the honour of conducting several orchestras in Canada and the United States.

Craig Garnham

He earned his Bachelor of Fine Arts in Classical Music and Master of Arts in Choral Conducting from York University. Craig is also the Director of Music at St. James Presbyterian Church in Stouffville and the Organist at St. John Chrysostom Parish in Newmarket. He has also gained acclaim for his music production, having recorded and released two full-length albums. Craig orchestrated, recorded, and produced a virtual performance of Pergolesi’s Stabat Mater for Good Friday in 2021.

Our Executive Team
The County Town Singers are managed by an executive team that oversees the operations of the choir. They are often the first point of contact for new choir members, sponsors and community partners.
